Free Job Search Help for Veterans Yesterday was Veterans Day. Americans across the country honored vets with parades and other events. Parades are nice, but there is more we should be doing to support our returning veterans.The unemployment rate for returning veterans is still 12%, significantly higher than the national unemployment rate of 7.9%. We want to help change that.Its a tough job market for everybody right now, but returning veterans also have to struggle with making the transition from military to civilian life. This means re-evaluating career goals, identifying transferable skills, and learning how to present ones military accomplishments in a way that makes them relevant and compelling for non-military employers.We want to try to make that career transition easier for our veterans.
